Thought I'd share some holiday deets from around Casa De Blah Blah. Hope you enjoy!
Got this little foxy loxy from Target a few weeks ago. I love him.
It doesn't get much better than hot cocoa with Bailey's, Snoopy, fuzzy slippers, and family.
Okay, here's the situation. My parents went away for a week's vacation. Oh, wait...wrong post... We put our tree up the day after Turkey Day, and it was like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Or Treesa. BWAH! And I undecorated the entire thing, made Tom help me straighten it, and redecorated it (with perhaps a few new goodies, and some new poy-ple lights). I love it so much more now.
This is my other new favorite thing in the house. And by "new," I mean "a painting that my parents had in their basement for the past 44 years, which I confiscated and up-cycled." For reals. I saw this idea forever ago somewhere on the interwebs and loved it, so I redid the painting (and just a few days after my girl Suzanne mentioned my OTHER painting on the mantle behind me in all my pics - the drippy painting on canvas, which I also DIY-d and was SO easy to do - just stand up your canvas, squirt random paint on the canvas, let it run down the canvas - you may have to thin the paint with a bit of water, and then lay flat to dry). P.S. - those YUM letters are also from Target.
Just cleaned up the old painting, and painted the frame and these bubbles around it in craft paint.
Here's a close-up deet of the painting, along with a bird's nest which I found on the ground outside of my office one day. I wanted the kids to see it, but not be touching it all the time, so I turned a large vase upside down over it and voila - nest under glass!
