Zombielicious

Hi kids. It's me - remember? The person who writes this blog? And by "write" I mean "apparently only writes one time a week lately." Sheesh. I ain't gonna lie - I have had the fleeting thought to stop doing it, because I'm annoyed with my half-assed attempts the past several months. I haven't made that decision yet, but it's there every now and then.

Enough of that talk though - let's talk zombies. I mean, it IS Halloween, after all. Granted, where I am, it's a rainy, nasty, thunderstormy Halloween, but it's Halloween nonetheless. So. Zombies.

Recently, Tom and I started watching The Walking Dead. I held out for a long time - I mean, it was ZOMBIES after all. How good could it be? OHHHHH how wrong I was. Let's just say I am a wee bit OBSESSED with it now.

I wish I was lying when I say that we will sit down once the kids are in bed and watch 3 - 4 episodes a night. We're mid-way through Season 3. Gulp. Ya'll - I am SCURRED at what is getting ready to happen at the point we are right now in the story.

This show is wearing me OUT, but in a good way. Does anyone else watch it? NO SPOILERS if you do, I just want to know who my fellow zombie freaks are.

And while you're sharing, let me know what other favey faves you like to watch. We started Breaking Bad just around the time the series finale hit, but that's on hold now until we catch up to Season 4 of Walking Dead.

So. To recap this post...I'm lame, I'm obsessed, I'm WORN OUT BY ZOMBIES. Happy Halloween, yo.

Jacket: Costa Blanca, Macy's

Between the 2 series I much preferred Breaking Bad. A million times over in fact. I found season 1 and 2 the best of Walking Dead. It gets boring after a while. I mean there is zombies...they chase them...someone dies....yadda yadda yadda. Nothing changes really.

Love the sequinned jacket!

Ooooh, interesting take. I am much preferring season 3 to the first two seasons so far, but you're right. The zombies stumble around, they're easy to kill, blah blah blah. What I find fascinating is that the thing scarier than the zombies are the other humans.

Love the jacket and boots! I've never watched Walking Dead, but I'm not sure why...I love end of the world stuff and zombies definitely would qualify for the end of the world...

the walking dead is one of my top 3 shows of all time. i love lucy, friday night lights, the walking dead. we started watching it about 9 months ago and had several weeks of multiple episodes a night and then hours of introspection and dissection the next day followed by re-watching key episodes a few weeks before season 4 started a month ago. i have zombie nightmares weekly. i can't get up early and go running on monday mornings. the zombies are still too fresh in my mind. i love how they pretty much kill off whoever they want. no one is safe.
and the humans are scarier than the zombies.
welcome to the club.
