Golden Rule

Happy Monday ya'll - if you haven't already done it, I'd shore appursheeeate a vote for MerciBlahBlah in Circle of Mom's contest. Don't forget - you can vote once a day until January 23, and I'd LOVE to come out in the top 25. Thank ye kindly, and now, on to nonsense.

Holy schnikes - I got possibly the world's most unflattering sequin pants this weekend from Zara. What's that you say? There are people who possibly find ANY sequin pants to be the most unflattering pants in the world? I can assure you, they haven't seen THESE particular sequin pants.

I wasn't sure when I bought them I would like them, after after trying them on, holy shitballs, were they bad. They were gold sequin harem pants, with pockets that hung off the sides like separate entities from the rest of the pants.

It was almost as if the pockets knew exactly how bad the rest of the pants were, and were trying to escape.

I hate saying such things about Zara, as much as I love Zara, and I'm sure maybe the biggest reason they looked SOOOOO horrific was me. I know as a shortie I can't get away with everything, and WOW, those pants proved that in spades. Lucky for YOU, you will not be subjected to them in a future post. They are packed up and safely on their merry, MC Hammer way back to Zara, where someone else can enjoy them. Goodbye sequins, my old friennnnnd....

Check out some fabulous ladies at Monday Mingle and Visible Monday.

Go look up the image of Carol Burnett dressed up as Charo's mother ... she wins the award for worst sequin pants ever worn - hands down.

And done voted! Good luck.

As bad as that really depressing moment is (the one where you really understand that the item must go back) ... please remember how bad things would be if you didn't have the taste to get to that moment! We all know women that never quite manage it.
You look completely beautiful in the cobalt tux ... which you won't have to return!
Have a much better 2013 than last year!

Love the layers. They look great on you actually.
We finally have a Zara store in our city but I still haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

Visiting from Monday Mingle.

Ahhh so sorry to hear the dissapointing harem pants story! I was hoping to buy some myself but I may hold off - how did you like the jeans from Zara?

Sheree - Oooooh, I thought I had found every pair of sequin pants out there. Didn't know The Limited had some. Sads that they didn't work out for your sis.

Patti - Thank YOU!

Paula - Ohmyhell that was hilarious. I loved the droopy boob halter she was wearing with the pants, though sadly, I'm still not convinced they looked WORSE than mine. Scurry.

Jan - thank you, m'dear!

Carrie - load indeed - it looked like I was carrying two giant loads in saddlebags on my hips.

Daphne - thank you! And I'm insanely jealous of anyone who has a Zara store they can actually GO INTO.

Jenny - thank you!!

Whit - I should've taken a photo before I sent them back. Ah well.

Zahra - maybe they would work on you - who knows? The jeans? I LOVE. So skinny, but with stretch, which is what I was looking for. I also love the wash on them.

Jill - thanks, mama!!
