Wop On a Ding

When I got up this day, I was having massive fashion brain fart, and could NOT put together an ensemble to save my life. Enter, this plaid button down I got for my hubby about a month ago.

Rolled the sleeves a bit, added my big bells and platforms, et voila -

Serving up 1977 One Day At A Time Bonnie Franklin fashion for your viewing pleasure...

Although when I went looking for a photo to prove it, what I found was that I was a little more Schneider, a little less Franklin/Bertinelli/Phillips...

Just give me a tool-belt and I'm good to go.

But SHANNNNNNNANNN, you ask - where does the title from your post come from?????

Oh, that? It's from the theme song to One Day at a Time. Sort of. You see, kids, my friend Crystal used to think the words were not so much "So up on your feet (up on your feet), come where there's music playin..." but rather, that they were, "So wop on a ding (wop on a ding!) come where there's music playin..."  Of course, we teased her endlessly for that. AS WE SHOULD.

Anyhoozle - hope for this Monday that you, too, are taking it One Day at a time. And never, EVER forget to Wop On a Ding.

I've been looking for a way to incorporate plaid into my wardrobe and you've given me inspiration. I love this shirt on you and the way you styled it. Unfortunately, I can't pilfer my husband's closet because he's 6' tall with a muscular frame. I'd be swallowed up in his shirts.

And I loved One Day at a Time. I so wanted to be Barbara. Robyn
