My Favorite Things

I haven't done a favey fave things post in many a moon, so I thought I'd share a few witcha.

I have been using the Carmindy for Sally Hanson airbrush foundation for a while and really like it, but I seem to go through a can of it in nothing flat. Came across this Revlon Airbrush Foundation when I was wandering aimlessly through CVS (cuz really, how else DOES one wander through CVS?). And you know what? I like it - I really like it! Not heavy at all, but it covers any red blotchy areas. Yet still? Could I just be content with my Revlon? Not this guy. Nope. But it's only cuz I kept reading about BB Creams, so I picked up the Garnier version to try.

Good stuff. Like a tinted moisturizer, but I feel like it gives me more coverage than that. Don't take my word for it though - try it your damn self.

And then, and then, and THEN I came across this at Tar-jay when I was looking for a different shower gel, but since you KNOW I'm a sucka for anything coconut scent, I fell for this stuff hard:

Shea Moisture Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Shower Gel (and I also got the lotion). Soooo. YUMMY. Most of the time I find a coconut scent, it's either coconut and vanilla, or coconut and lime, or coconut and bologna, but this is sooooo lying on the beach slathered in Hawaiian Tropic downright DELICIOUS. Seriously ya'll - I can't stop smelling my arm when I wear it.

But THIS. This is the stuff.

Hearken back with me, won't you, to the year 1985. I had this Perlier Honey Miel Shower Gel and Lotion (believe I picked it up at Marshalls when I worked there). Used to use it, lotion up, then hang out in my room (in the basement at my 'rents house). Put this on the stereo (Yup - I said STEREO, BITCHEZ):

Hopped into my king-sized waterbed (no, your eyes do not deceive you), maxed and relaxed and smelled my arm like nobody's bidness. That, friends, is a true story. You just time traveled back to 1985. I just blew your minds, didn't I? What if I told you I followed up Sade with a little of this?

Nope, not the TV show (though I was a HUGE fan of it) - THE SOUNDTRACK. Don't hate the playa. Let's back up a bit though. Back to the Perlier Honey Miel Shower Gel. Don't know what reminded me of it recently, but I was on a quest for fire, if you will. The fire in my belly for some 1985-smellin gel n lotion. Thanks to the interwebs, I found it no problem, and you know what? I have been sitting here all night listening to a lil Sade whilst typing this post up.

Hope ya'll have a 1985 kind of weekend.

Love the post! I've been wanting to try both the BB Cream and the airbrush makeup but I guess I've been too chicken to stray from my staples. Glad you like them both- I'm a tinted moisturizer gal through and through but it looks like its time to bite the bullet!
