1985 Called.

And it wants its floral jacket/pants/blouse/skirt/shoes/insert item back. Ya'll, I resisted this trend for as long as I could, but I can't hold out any longer. Yup, I STILL want these pants from H&M, which are sadly sold out in my store.

Anyone? Anyone? If you can find them in my size (6 or 8), I'd happily pay you the cost plus shipping. Lucky for me I came across this floral jacket at the Goodwill last week, and DOUBLE luck that it happened to be 50% off the day I was there, so it was a whopping $3.

This is officially my new favorite casual spring outfit. I was surprised how much I liked all the blues together, cuz it has never been my favorite color. Seriously, though, florals can veer SO quickly into Golden Girls territory. To me, it's all in the cut and styling. With floral pants, I couldn't do anything other that skinnies. The high-waisted or wide legged cut is just toooo Dorothy Zbornak for moi.

These I can get on board with.

Jackets are the same way. Because the jacket I found was a stiffer material, I wanted to pair it with a tank and distressed boyfriend jeans. I also think it'll look fab with dark blue or white skinnies and a grey slouchy tank or chambray shirt. Good Lord - floral jacket AND chambray shirt? Why don't I add some pleated khakis and penny loafers and call it a day?

See? Love the skinny cut of the jacket above from Free People. Which is apparently sold out. Sads.

Above two from Shopbop

So what say you about the floral trend for spring? Are you on board or not?

I love those pants too. I am pretty sure Target is getting on board with the floral pant trend...everyone seems to love those colored and leopard jeans that they have now and I thought I saw some floral ones last week. I just can't buy anything that comes in sizes 5-7-9 - this bod is not built for that. Check it out.

I don't have anything floral in my closet, but seeing your ensemble today, I'm on the hunt for a jacket! You make floral look good, love it!

Egad! I have the free people floral jacket. But, I literally bought it on clearance two summers ago. I guess I am just ahead of my time. check out ebay for the jacket... there may be one on there since the style has been around for a bit. maybe?

That is a great floral jacket! Great find! I am still not 100% sure about the floral pants. I just don't think I could pull them off.

I'm mad for floral too. You scored on that jacket, and if I see those pants I will let you know. This week I'm blinding everyone with my bright pink accents. wear your sunglasses when you check this one out!

I have been so addicted to floral lately. A small obsession. Loving that cute jacket. Nice job. The 1985 reference made me giggle and think of the sweetest floral pants I rocked back then.

I haven't been a huge fan of the floral pant trend either...partly due to being 5 1/2 months preggers..not a good look.
Anyway..LOVE your floral blazer and the distressed are rocking the look lady.
Hope all is well.
