WWD: Somebody's Baby

I'm feeling very Pat Benatar, or better yet, very Fast Times At Ridgemont High, in this ensemble. The oversized grey tee, the red skinnies, black pumps. I know I went to high school in the 80s, but dammit, I still love this silhouette.

Speaking of Fast Times, let's talk All Time Best High School Movies, shall we?

Fast Times is DEFINITELY at the top of the list for me. Great music, bitchin fashion, and Sean Penn in a Baja shirt? What could possibly be better? Oh yeah, Phoebe Cates in a bikini.
Sixteen Candles. Come ON. Molly Ringwald, princess of high school angst, Anthony Michael Hall when he was a skinny geek, and Michael Schoeffling, dreamy Matt Dillon look-alike? Yes, please. Speaking of, what the hell ever happened to Jake Ryan? Apparently he is a furniture-maker in Pennsylvania, and is extremely hard to track down on the interwebs.

The Breakfast Club. Duh. Who DIDN'T want to get locked into their school library with the jock and the rebel after The Breakfast Club?
The Outsiders. Taking a trip on the way back machine here. Has there been a movie filled with more eye candy since The Outsiders? Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Tom Cruise and Emilio Estevez (before they both became hot, and WAY before Tom Cruise became a weirdo), Rob Lowe and C. Thomas Howell? Sigh. I came for the Rob Lowe, but stayed for the C. Thomas Howell. Stay gold, Ponyboy.

Clueless. Our first introduction into the Wonder That Is Paul Rudd AND Alicia "Cher" Silverstone's Uh-frigging-mazing closet? That's two! Two! Two! Mints in one!

American Pie. Band geek, party of one here. Of COURSE I loved American Pie, though I must admit that nothing QUITE as untoward happened on any band outings that I took part in. Unfortunately.

So let's hear it. What were YOUR favorite high school movies? And I mean it. I ain't even gonna lie - the lack of comments lately is totally harshing my mellow.

Missing from your admittedly awesome list: Heathers and Dazed and Confused. And I always preferred Pretty in Pink to Sixteen Candles myself.

And I'm sorry I've been neglecting you1 I`ve been neglecting my own blog too!

Sixteen Candles!!! Which stars the gal I'm most compared to (looks wise) Molly Ringwald. Is that a good or bad thing ;o)

sixteen candles, pretty in pink (i mean molly ringwald was the epitome of the 80's), desperately seeking susan, breakfast club to name a few others...
