WWD: Surf's Up

I got it in my head (pun intended) that I NEEDED a bottle of Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray in my life, since my hurr usually wants to be curly, and more so in the humidity of summer. Having read numerous times about the Wonder That Is Surf Spray, I bit the bullet and bought a bottle (say that fives times fast).

My take on it? It's worth the hype.

It definitely brings out more of my hurr's natural texture, and I felt gave it a Rock Chick On the Beach In Malibu look (if I say so myself). Also, I didn't feel like it was oily like some surf sprays that I have tried, which is a definite plus.

I DID still dry and round brush just my bangs, but I diffused the rest (not until it was completely dry - just a bit). Then I used a large barrel curling iron to add just a few curls near the crown on both sides so it would look a little bit smoother.

In the scheme of Things I Do To My Hair, it was pretty quick and painless.

Most of the curl/texture above is natural. I think the only curl I put in myself is the bigger one to the right (if that makes sense).

The only downfall to it I see so far is that I don't feel like I can get as many days out of a hairstyle before I have to wash it again. When I blow it out straight, I can go 3 - 4 days wivout washing. This seems more like 2 - 3 days, just because it starts to look scraggly after I sleep on it. Howevs, I got up this morning and sprayed it with water to let it re-dry and added a bit more Surf Spray, so maybe that will work. Anyhoozle - two thumbs up from me on the Surf Spray - I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it yet.

The name "Surf Spray" alone is enough to sell me, but it does look super good on you, too. Is there anything better than summer hair? I just did a lightning scrolldown praying your shirt was not vintage. Now just hoping it's current season Zara. LOVE it!

I'll have to check this out for sure, I've tried other "surf sprays" and been all, meh. But this sounds like one worth trying. Love that top girlie!
