WWD: Inspirational

Did you ever have a day that was so shitastic that you thought, "hmmmm, maybe life would be easier if I just took a job waitressing in a greasy spoon diner in a one-horse town?" or "I wonder how realistic it would be to pick up and move to a beach in the tropics and sell surfboards or sno cones or whirleygigs..."

These are also the days when I wonder, after having a conversation with someone for work, "WHAT is your position, and HOW IN THE HELL did you make it that far?"
I'm not talkin bout a receptionist or administrative assistant. I'm talkin bout CEOs or heads of companies.
And then I realize, "Huh, dealing with three 3- year olds really IS easier."

And coming home to hop on blogland for a while is such a RELIEF, espesh when I end up on my homegirl Carrie's site and see her wearing this:

and this:

and I tell her, "GIRRRRL, I am SO knocking that off," and LUCKILY, I am walking out of F21 and see said skirt for less than $20.
The only thing that would make it better is if I was wearing it walking along the beach here:

 (Corona del Mar, 2010)
 (Corona del Mar, 2010)
(Corona del Mar, 2010)

or wearing that DOPE Free People belt that miz thang has on above (though my garage sale belt - a gift from my mom, ain't too shabby)...

and I realize there are more important things to be concerned with in life than how someone responded to an e-mail, what they said or didn't say and how they said it. There are things like eating coconut macadamia nut pancakes on the beach.

Skirt, Vest, Earrings: F21

I know what you mean about those people at work. I have a weekly meeting with a room full of men and they just whine about everything! Seriously, you are grown men.

You look great in your flowy skirt and sandals. Makes me want to go to the beach!

Whenever I feel that way, I imagine a life of being an eternal summer camp counselor. Laying in the sun and playing all day? Yes please! I am loving that vest you've got on--if you can't be somewhere more laid-back and chill, at least you can wear something that is!

Thanks ladies - and MTMD - I love your idea of an eternal summer camp counselor. Of course, in my head, a camp counselor is always Bill Murry in Meatballs, so that may be why it is so appealing to me...

I can totally relate maybe because it happens on a bi-weekly basis?! That's another story over drinks! But blogland always eases the pain for me too...and $20 for that skirt?! SCORE!!! And how in helllll did I miss that vest?? Neeed. Want. Now. xo

I have thought about selling surf boards many times before. how wonderful would life be!?! so simple. no make-up, tan, shorts and surfer t-shirts. fabulous!
