WWD: Gross

Do you ever have days/weeks/whatever, where you just feel gross? Luckily, when I took these pics last week, I did not feel that way. This week, however, is a different story.

I feel like my hair is not doing what I want it to do, my skin looks blah, and my belly looks puffy (tummy tuck or not, I still have the dreaded puff from time to time).

Oh, and also? I've been a raging bitch. I'm thinking I might be pre-menstrual. Seriously. I don't know if any of you out there who have kids have one who you can tell something to overandoverandover again, and they just go about their business like you are not talking? Well, that is Gavin. He is driving me to the brink of insanity. There. I'm insane.

Obviously, I love him to death, but he is pushing my buttons like nobody's bidness right now. It enrages me. I would LOVE to know how anyone else deals with this without a) drinking themselves into oblivion, b) ending up with the neighbor's calling Child Protective Services, or c) drinking themselves into oblivion. I am not even kidding - I need all the help I can get, so if you have an "Imma do my thang" kind of kid, let's hear it.

Shirt: H&M (Thanks, sissie!)
Pants: T.J. Maxx
Shoes: J Simp Dany's
Rings: Old Navy, Charming Charlie's
Bracelets: Old Navy
Earrings: F21

Merci!

That silk kimono top is amazing! As far as the deaf child problem...I have three. Sometimes I just get down to their level, pull the chin out so they are looking right at me and then speak. Maybe it works, maybe not! Being a parent is the most frustrating and humbling of experiences! You WILL figure it out!!

Best,

Amy

my son is austistic and sometimes i find that if i get in his face and whisper the command(threat), then he is better able to follow through. he can better concentrate on what i'm saying and cancel out the other noise that is distracting him.
and scarlett just thinks that she is smarter than me and no amount of spanking seems to bother her. i have both ends of the spectrum.

All good things - hmmmm, Heidi - mayhaps I should try WHISPERING. I'm always yelling. Well, not ALWAYS, but you catch my drift, right? RIGHT????

I have an almost eight year-old who tells me the same shit over and over and over again. It's like the inverse of in-one-ear-and-out-the-other...that's the best way I can explain it. She's sweet, but spacey as hell and that's the malfunction. I'm a lot of things, but I'm not spacey...my common-sense-shit is pretty tight and I don't get it. But when I'm dealing with her I slow it down, and spell it out. Sometimes it sinks in. And "sometimes" is the best you can hope for with kids...they are NOT a consistent bunch, even though they expect us to be. So unfair of them.

One word: Action. I've found, at a certain point, talk is cheap with the small people that I claim as dependents. To coin a phrase, you've got to back that shit up.

I don't have multiples, and if I did I would cry and beg and plead for parenting help. You're doing fine.

PS. I like your tits in that top.
(quick! what book/movie is that from? it's an easy one.)
