WWD: White Out

I'm doing another post-before-I-wear post today. It's actually Sunday as I write this, so let's hope tomorrow's outfit actually works. I mean, it is SUPER cute in my head. After having snow about a week and a half ago, we had 85 degree temps today, which convinced me it was entirely okay to wear a white "suit" to work on Monday. I have a meeting at work, so I figured my white skinny Hudson's could pass for the bottom of a suit, along with a white tuxedo jacket, white tank, studded belt, my studded Vince Camuto's, and some funky jewreys.

Soooo, it's Monday now, and I have actually executed said ensemble. I like it, but feel like I should be in a Puff Daddy video, or perhaps singing Celine Dion songs in Vegas. Come to think of it, why haven't THOSE two ever collaborated on a project? I'm pretty sure it would be dope. At the very least, couldn't they both appear in a Judd Apatow flick?

Also, on a completely unrelated note, I haven't forgotten that I mentioned doing a 200-person, 2 year blogoversary giveaway. It's still on my radar, you'll just have to stay tuned for it. How's that for a LAME teaser?

In OTHER other unrelated news? I had my second appointment with the plastic surgeon on Friday to talk further about the tummy tuck, including pre- and post-op instructions, and what should happen if I would chicken out before the day (a steep cancellation fee is what). As I promised my cousin Holly, I DO plan to do some pre- and post-tuck photos after the fact, but I don't know at what point. As I understand it, I'll be wearing a compression garment for a while, so just bear with me (if you're at all interested).

The closer the day gets, the more nervous I get. I just keep telling myself - if a Real Housewife can do this, I can do this, for the love of Elsa Whatsherface on the Miami housewives. I mean, if Kate frigging Gosselin can do it, I can surely make it through - but then, I am not going to be recuperating in the lap of luxury for a week or two after a surgeon has performed my tuck pro bono. I'm sure that sequestering myself in my bedroom away from my chillruns, sleeping in an old recliner with wonky springs is almost as good though, right?

Just mark your calendars for April 18 and say a little prayer at 9:30 a.m. that everything goes okay. I can use all the help I can get. And also, I'll prolly be MIA for a few days there while I'm hopped up on the goofball (fingers crossed it's as good as Ambien....), but maybe I'll find a few peeps to pick up the slack for me during that time, espesh since Amy has her OWN top secret super fantastic thing that is going to be happening around the same time, and she may be getting some much needed R&R at that point. I'll let her fill you in later.
Ooooh, is this post FULL of mystery and intrigue or WHAT???? On that note, I bid you adieu, and happy Monday!

I stay away from all-white ensembles for the same reason (well that and being an accident-prone slob), but you make it work!
I'll definitely be thinking of you on the 18th! Scary stuff but you're a badass!

I love the necklace and the shoes, you chose great accessories to wear with this classy ensemble! Is it weird that I can't wait to see your before and after photos?? I'll be thinking of you in a couple of weeks! I hope they give you good drugs. Not because you'll need them but because they're GOOD DRUGS!
