WWD: Snakes and Ladders

I feel very "Countess Luann deLeSeppes puts on her sh!t-kickers to kick her daughter's a$$ for doing a bong hit on video that was 'accidentally' tweeted by Ramoner before going to the stables to groom the horses" in this ensemble.

Scored the vintage jacket at last year's Ladieth Night Clothing Swap - or did you just give it to me, Ames? Nevertheless, I love it. The puffy sleeves, the dainty ruffles down the front which you cannot see, but they are there. Trust. The tweed, LORD HAVE MERCY, the tweed.

Totally forgot I had these jeans because I have been wearing the heck out of the skinnies that my sis sent me. So much, in fact, that I wore a hole in the knee this weekend, durn the luck!

Rings, left to right: Charming Charlie's, Old Navy, Charming Charlie's, Old Navy, Vintage/Vintage
I have been TOTALLY inspired by a new to me blog, The Little Black List, that I will do a post about later this week, but suffice it to say that girlfriend has some D-OPE jewelry, which she wears all piled on together, so I decided to try it out, and went for my coral and turquaaaze snake jewreys. Methinks I like it. I am also digging on my "not without my daughter" pose in the photo below.
So speaking of pickle loaf, after seeing Black Swan and deciding I have a total girl crush on Mila Kunis, AND after going through The Little Black List's ENTIRE blog, AND after reading Melanie's recent post on the same subject, I have decided to go dark again with my hurr. I am saying this here so that if, next weekend, I chicken out in the chair, you have my permission to publicly berate me for said chickening-out. I don't know why I'm all ascairt about it - my natural color (FROM WHAT I CAN RECALL) is pretty dark - darker than I am now.

Me and The Hubs several years ago, with said dark-ish hurr. This is my "To Be Used In Case of Emergency" photo, in the event that I am ever kidnapped and need a photo for a news cast.
And Exhibit B:
From The Little Black List. I realize in my photo the background is dark, and in hers it is light, so it's kind of comparing apples to oranges, but if you squint and hold your tongue to the left, you can kind of see it, right? RIGHT?
And Exhibit C:
Gulp. This is dark. I don't know if I'm brave enough to go QUITE this dark, but I'm going to TRY. It's just hair, and if I don't like it, I can always have her take me lighter again. See - already trying to talk myself out of it. Give me strength, people - talk me down. This photo is also making me think about growing my bangs out again. Blech. I HATE growing out bangs.

Oh hey - look at this. One more photo of my boots that I didn't realize was so far down the page. These babies are frigging awesome. I supah dupah giant puffy heart my Frye's. Have a good one, yo!
Jacket: Vintage
Tee: Target
Jeans: Converse for Target
Boots: Frye's, a la eBay
Scarf: Gift

Wait, what, how did I miss the Countess's girl doing a bong hit? How did that song go - money can't buy you class, but it can score you some weed. That's how it goes, right? LOL she's such a pompous ass. Meanwhile I love/hate Ramoner, so wrong/right all at the same time.

You look fabulous as usual and go dark with the hair, do it!
