Going to do a lil end of the year recap of some of my favey crocketts from fall fashion week. Let's kick things off with Mz. Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2010. Thank you Tom & Lorenzo from the fab Project Rungay blog (your one-stop shop for everything Project Runway) for posting photos to keep me in the loop...
I noticed whilst perusing photos of various runway shows, I was drawn repeatedly to those that used bold colors. Maybe that's why this season of Project Runway was such a yawner to me - it was as if Mood fabrics hid all of their fabric except grey, black, white, and tan. Blah. Carolina Herrera, thankfully, must shop at JoAnn Etc. or Hobby Lobby for her fabrics. I kid! I'm a kidder!! Seriously, her stuff is gorge.
Okay, okay, I realize THIS isn't the most colorful of ensembles, but it DOES have a giant fur collar, which I love. I have also come to the conclusion that I love contrasty shoes and tights, so THERE.
HERE'S your color. Lu-huuuu-uuurve the easy breeze cap sleeve wrap style bodice and loooong skirt and funfetti pattern. Delish.
One of my faves. I die over the painterly brush stroke pattern that falls down the skirt. DIE, I tell you!!!
I would wear this to work today if it were hanging in my closet. Alas and alack, it is not.
I swear to the hebbins above, if Helen Mirren doesn't wear this to some awards ceremony this year, I will just DIE.
I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but I loves me some ombre effect. The end.
Guh. Holy Hells Bells. That heeee-uge candy-striped bow/train is magnificent. I would wear this to work today if it were hanging in my closet. Okay, maybe not, because it's colder than a witch's teat in a brass bra, but if it were 70 degrees, I would wear this to work today if it were hanging in my closet. HMMMMPFH!
