It's The Final Countdowwwwwn

(I hope when you read that title that you, too, now have the KICK ASS Europe song playing in your head. If not, here it is for your viewing enjoyment...)

This is it - the week we go to Laguna, the week I turn 40, and apparently, the week my mother decides to lecture me because when we get back from Laguna, I am taking a girls' weekend trip to The Lou to see my homie Amy. No, she doesn't begrudge me the trip (since it is the second one I will have taken since the bebes were born), she is mad because I have opted out of some family events this year (because they fall during nap time). Oy vey. Nevertheless, I will enjoy this with a margarita in my hand:

I will NOT enjoy this:

Seriously? Ugh. Love those conversations that make you feel like you are 12 again.

C'est la vie! See you in a weekish.

(((quickly cancels order for tacky balloon bouquet)))

I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who still gets the "you are 12 years old and must be lectured" lectures. Not.

If I see ONE SINGLE tacky black balloon, I will rain down the fire of 1,000 burning suns on your arse.

To My Sister Jen - I trust you will NOT mention to mom that I am blogging about her.

That song is so awesome -- I had it as a my ringtone for about a year and when ever it rang and other people were around, it never failed to garner a few smiles.

:) Love your blog!!

Ames - do yourself a favor and trust me - DO NOT LOOK AT THE BLOG. You are right though, Julia - how can anyone hear the first notes of that song and not smile???

JULIA!!! You devil woman you. How DARE you show not only the outside but the tempting inner workings of your baked goods? You're practically begging me to climb inside those cupcakes and get my sugar coma on.

Um, not that I ignored Shan and looked at your blog...

Chris - Come play with us.
